Police Solve Murder Case in Lucknow’s BKT Area, Accused Arrested

Lucknow: The police have cracked the case of Sonu’s death, whose body was found under suspicious circumstances in the BKT police station area on December 10. A joint operation by the DCP North Crime/Surveillance Team and BKT police led to the arrest of the accused, Rajneesh alias Chhotu Nishad, son of Keshav Nishad, a resident of Raitha village.

Following a complaint by the deceased’s mother, a case was registered at BKT police station (Case No. 378/2024) under Section 103(1) BNS. Investigators analyzed evidence and video footage, uncovering that Sonu was murdered due to an old enmity.

Swift Police Action
Acting on intelligence, the police apprehended Rajneesh on December 14 at 9:35 AM near Raitha underpass on Sixth Mile Road. During interrogation, Rajneesh confessed to the crime, admitting he killed Sonu to settle a previous score.

The timely efforts of the Crime/Surveillance Team and BKT police ensured the quick resolution of the case. Legal proceedings against the accused are underway.
